Aryna Sabalenka advances to semifinals

The Nancy Richey Group matches were completed at the women’s season-ending tournament held in Fort Worth, Texas, USA.

Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka (seeded 7) defeated American Jessica Pegula (3) 2-0 in sets ending 6-3 7-5. With her second win, Sabalenka advanced to the semifinals.

Greek tennis player Maria Sakkari (5), who secured the semifinals, beat this year’s Wimbledon and US Open finalist, Tunisian Ons Jabeur (2), with sets of 6-2, 6-3, 3 of 3.

The Caroline Garcia-Daria Kasatkina and Iga Swiatek-Coco Gauff matches will be played tomorrow in the tournament at Tracy Austin Group.

Those who occupy the first 2 places in the groups will face each other in the semifinals with a crossed match. The 2022 WTA Finals will conclude with the final match taking place on Tuesday, November 8 at TSI.
