TBESF President Muaz Ergezen congratulated the national athletes, saying, “Our athletes participated in the World Championships at the venue of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. They did a great job playing 3 final matches in a such a significant place. Hopefully, they will participate in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games in a more experienced way with the points they will accumulate in the next organizations.
National team coach Ahmet Bozdam emphasized that the championship was a success, saying: “We won 3 silver medals after 3 narrow finals and championships. Our athletes, who did not receive a medal, were eliminated in the quarterfinals with one game to go to win the medal. Otherwise we could have come back with at least 7 medals. It was a successful championship on the way to Paris. I hope it’s even better.” (AA)
