Emir of Qatar Al Sani rebels
Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamed Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, which will host the World Cup, delivered a speech at the opening of the second ordinary session of the Qatar Shura Council.
Referring to the activities of the 2022 World Cup that will take place between November 20 and December 18, organized by Qatar in his speech, Al Sani said: “Since we had the honor of hosting the World Cup, we have encountered unprecedented campaigns that no country hosting the World Cup has been exposed to before that we are facing,” he said.
Al Sani claims that Qatar first handled this situation in good faith, and even some criticism was positive and beneficial; He said that he thought it helped problems that needed improvement. Noting that it soon became clear that the campaign continued, expanded and contained some slander and double standards, Al Sani stated that the seriousness of the situation had reached a level that made many people wonder about the real reasons behind the campaign.
“THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW WHO WE ARE”
“The World Cup is an opportunity to show who we are, not only in terms of the strength of our economy and institutions, but also at the level of our civilizational identity,” said Al Sani.
Emphasizing that this is a great test for a country the size of Qatar, which affects the whole world with what it has achieved and will achieve, Al Sani stated that they accepted this challenge with the belief in their strength and with the awareness of the importance of hosting a major event like the World Cup in the Arab world.
THANKS TO THE COUNTRIES THAT OFFER THEIR OPPORTUNITIES
Al Sani noted that his country already looks like a workshop in terms of preparing for the event.
After pointing out that some sister countries and friends, whom he thanked, offered their opportunities to them, Al Sani said that this situation is one of the objectives of this type of activity that promotes cooperation, fraternity, the exchange of experiences and that they have unifying qualities instead of dividing them; He said that this is everyone’s championship and his success is everyone’s success.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup, hosted by Qatar, will start with the Qatar-Ecuador match on November 20. Qatar will be the first Arab country in the Middle East to host the World Cup.
