Flash revealed in the Neymar case
In the case against the soccer player Neymar, his father and his mother, two former presidents of the Barcelona Club and a former director of the Santos Club, accused of alleged irregularities in his signing for Barcelona in 2013, the Prosecutor’s Office dismissed all charges.
In the case, which began at the Barcelona Court on October 17, the prosecution dismissed all previously made accusations and concluded that there was no criminal element in Neymar’s transfer to Barcelona.
The Prosecutor’s Office previously indicated that Neymar was imprisoned for 2 years, 3 years of disqualification from football and 10 million euros, 2 years in prison and 10 million euros for the footballer’s father, 5 years in prison for Sandro Rossell, one of the former club presidents of Barcelona, 3 years of sanction from the sports management and 10 million euros demanded 8.4 million euros from Club Barcelona and 1.4 million euros from Santos Club and the N&N company owned by the Neymar’s family.
Currently, only DIS Group has the charges in the case.
THE 390 MILLION EURO CASE CONTINUES
The DIS Group, which bought 40 per cent of Neymar’s transfer rights when he was only 17 years old (2009), alleges that this footballer was prevented from making offers to other teams by making an agreement with Barcelona in advance and that could not receive the real amount that corresponds to the transfer.
The DIS, which only retracted the charges against Neymar’s mother, was jailed for 5 years and 159 million euros for the Brazilian footballer, 5 years for Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu, former presidents of the Barcelona club, 6 years disqualified for sports management duties and 195 million euros required sanction.
In his statement in court on October 18, Neymar said: “I had the option to go to Real Madrid, but my heart took me to Barcelona. My father completely handled the transfer process and negotiations. I just signed what he told me. “There were many offers from clubs, but my dream was always to play for Barcelona,” he said.
