Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass tested positive for COVID-19 Wednesday night, her office said Thursday.

Bass is “feeling well and will continue to work remotely while following public health guidelines,” according to a statement from her news agency.

The mayor has been vaccinated and vaccinated and has not previously tested positive for COVID-19, according to her office.

Bass was scheduled to attend a number of events on Thursday, including a press luncheon for the city’s annual Lotus Festival and a trade show dinner for LiUNA Local 300, a union representing construction workers, maintenance workers and factory workers.
