On Tuesday, Klaver tabled a proposal for debate, but the coalition parties still didn’t like it. This much to the frustration of the opposition parties. Klaver then wanted a roll-call vote, but it has since disappeared from the agenda. The reason for this is that the coalition has changed its mind.
It is unusual for the House of Representatives to discuss Provincial Council elections. However, Klaver wanted it because major changes occurred in this election. BBB has become the largest in every province and is therefore also gaining a strong position in the Senate. The governing parties VVD, D66, CDA and ChristenUnie suffered heavy losses.
