Iran tries to increase daily oil production to 4 million barrels

Iranian Oil Minister Javad Ovci said his country aims to increase daily oil production to 4 million barrels next year.

According to the Tesnim news agency, Ovci gave information about his country’s oil production.

Iranian Minister: “We are trying to increase our daily oil production to 4 million barrels next year.” saying.

Noting that his country has oil reserves of 163 billion barrels, Ovci stated that when he came to power oil production was 2 million 100 thousand barrels per day, and today it has increased to 3 million 400 thousand barrels.

After President Donald Trump withdrew from the nuclear deal in 2018, the United States increased economic sanctions against Iran and limited oil sales.

According to statistics from the Iranian Oil Ministry, Tehran, which produced 3.8 million barrels of crude oil and condensate per day in April 2018, before the United States abandoned the nuclear deal, exported 2.8 million barrels of this amount.

In his statement on August 13, Davud Menzur, president of Iran’s Planning and Budget Organization, noted that his country’s daily oil exports exceeded 1.4 million barrels.
