Although the problems experienced after the regulation increased, which includes a one-time bonus of 5 thousand liras for retirees, it was learned that solutions were being sought to avoid grievances. It has been claimed that farmers, small traders and pensioners working temporarily and for short periods of time have complained to the AKP administration due to the bonus regulation that disappointed millions of pensioners, and that the government may present a new article that, as a solution, changes the restrictive provisions of the law.

It was alleged that instead of clearly writing the retirees who will not be able to benefit from the bonus in question, the easy route was taken and referred to subparagraph b) of paragraph 1 of article 4 of the Social Security Law No. 5510 increased. victimization. It was determined that due to this clause, farmers who obtain very low agricultural income, workers who have a small field in their town but do not cultivate it, merchants who do not have the registration record of their closed business removed, and partners that appear Because they are business companies but do not have income, they are deprived of their retirement premiums.

In addition, he stated that a solution was sought for retirees who were deprived of the bonus because they were treated as if they were working constantly, even though they had not worked at any job for a year, but had worked with insurance for a year. very short time, such as 1 day or 1 week, in the 1-month period between October 1 and 31, 2023.

“The premium problem cannot be resolved without passing a law”

Sources who provided information on the issue said that the grievances cannot be resolved with notifications or regulations, and that to resolve the problem a new bill should be submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey or an article on retirees should be added. to one of the general law proposals. The sources stated that retirees who will not benefit from the bonus in the new regulation should be determined more fairly and listed in a list, noting that otherwise new victims may arise.
