The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the national producer price index (D-PPI) for October 2023.

Thus, the PPI in October 2023 was 1.94 percent compared to the previous month, 38.70 percent compared to December of the previous year, 39.39 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and 58.46 percent according to twelve-month averages.

THE LARGEST ANNUAL INCREASE IS IN THE WATER SUPPLY

Annual changes in the four industry sectors; There was a 69.21 percent increase in mining and quarrying, a 53.74 percent increase in manufacturing, a 40.19 percent decrease in electricity and gas production and distribution, and an increase in 72.72 percent in water supply.

Annual changes of the main industrial groups; There was a 45.58 percent increase in intermediate goods, a 61.37 percent increase in durable consumer goods, a 67.47 percent increase in non-durable consumer goods, a 12 percent decrease, 91 percent in energy and an increase of 65.19 percent in capital goods.

HIGHEST MONTHLY INCREASE

Monthly changes of the four industry sectors; There was a 3.36 percent increase in mining and quarrying, a 2.32 percent increase in manufacturing, a 4.38 percent decrease in electricity and gas production and distribution, and an increase in 5.46 percent in water supply.

Monthly changes of the main industrial groups; There was an increase of 2.22 percent in intermediate goods, an increase of 1.93 percent in consumer durables, an increase of 3.99 percent in consumer non-durables, a decrease of 2, 86 percent in energy and a 2.70 percent increase in capital goods.

THE ONLY SUBSECTOR THAT SHOWS ANNUAL DECREASE

The only subsector that showed an annual decrease was electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, with 40.19 percent. For their part, basic pharmaceutical products and preparations were the subsectors where the indices increased the most with 94.85 percent, other products from extractive industries with 92.48 percent and beverages with 74.80 percent.

The largest monthly decrease; It was carried out in the tobacco products subsectors with 14.10 percent, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning with 4.38 percent, and in the coke and refined petroleum products subsectors with 3.20 percent. hundred. On the other hand, crude oil and natural gas with 6.48 percent, printing and recording services with 5.89 percent, water and its purification and distribution with 5.46 percent were the subsectors where the indices increased the most.
