The Competition Commission investigates ‘price fixing’ for driving schools

The Competition Office launched an investigation against 13 driving schools and 1 consulting company, which had allegedly violated competition by fixing prices.

At its meeting on September 21, the Competition Board discussed allegations that some companies operating as driving schools in Uşak violated competition by fixing prices.

The members of the board, who considered the information, documents and conclusions obtained in the preliminary investigation to be sufficient, decided to initiate an investigation against 13 driving schools and 1 company that provides advisory services for these courses.

The investigative commission will carry out a study to determine whether article 4 of Law No. 4054 on the Defense of Competition, entitled ‘Agreements, concerted practices and decisions restricting competition’, has been violated with respect to 14 companies. (DHA)
