15,888 companies closed in 9 months
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey announced the Statistics of Incorporated and Closed Companies for September.
Thus, in September, 2,096 more companies were closed, adding a total of 15,888 companies closed in the first 9 months of the year.
Compared to the previous month, the number of closed businesses increased by 17 percent and the number of closed cooperatives increased by 28 percent.
In September 2023, the number of closed companies increased by 0.7 percent and the number of closed cooperatives increased by 21.5 percent compared to the same month in 2022.
In the first nine months of 2023, the number of closed companies increased by 0.1 percent, the number of closed commercial companies of real people increased by 18 percent, and the number of closed cooperatives increased by 0.5 percent compared with the first nine months of 2022.
THE NUMBER OF ESTABLISHED COMPANIES DECREASED BY 15.7 PERCENT ANNUALLY
The number of established companies increased monthly and decreased annually.
Consequently, in August, compared to the previous month, the number of companies created increased by 4.5 percent, the number of real commercial companies increased by 8.1 percent, while the number of cooperatives created decreased by 13 .8 percent.
In September 2023, the number of established companies decreased by 15.7 percent and the number of established real person business companies decreased by 45 percent compared to September 2022.
In the first nine months of 2023, the number of established companies decreased by 5.1 percent and the number of real people trading companies decreased by 23 percent compared to the first nine months of 2022.
