In Antalya, which received intense immigration from Russia and Ukraine after the war that began last year, as well as tourists from all over the world, 666 companies with foreign partners began operating in the nine months of this year.

The city, which exceeded the number of visitors in 2019 and welcomed the largest number of tourists, has become in recent years a favorite of foreigners who invest in fields such as IT, agriculture, real estate and construction.

In the city, where foreigners showed great interest after the global epidemic and the war between Russia and Ukraine, the number of companies with foreign partners registered with the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO) also increased.

The number of foreign capital companies in Antalya, which was 5,695 last year, increased to 6,108 in 9 months this year.

MOST COMPANIES FOUNDED BY RUSSIANS

ATSO board chairman Ali Bahar said that apart from tourism, there are also important developments in agriculture, industry and commerce in the city.

Stating that there are 35,000 active companies registered with the chamber, Bahar pointed out that 6,108 of them are companies with foreign partners.

Noting that the number of companies with foreign partners has increased compared to last year, Bahar said: “We have become one of the provinces where the largest number of companies with foreign partners were established and ranked second after Istanbul. . Russia is in first place with 1,224 companies. Russia is followed by Germany with 751, Iran with 676 and Azerbaijan with 302. “Ukraine is fifth on the list with 270 companies.” he said.

“Foreigners want price stability”

Bahar stated that in 9 months of the year, 666 new companies were created with foreign partners and that 253 previously established companies suspended their activities.

Bahar explained that they began to see companies with foreign partners in almost all sectors: “The companies that foreigners are most interested in are IT, agriculture, real estate and construction.” saying.

Emphasizing that investments have an important place in economic policies, Bahar said: “Foreigners want to see an environment with price stability. In this sense, we believe that there is great interest in Türkiye and Antalya. We anticipate that investments will increase further.” he made the assessment of it. (AA)
