The highest expectation of increase of the year in imports

The Ministry of Commerce released the Foreign Trade Expectations Survey corresponding to the fourth quarter of this year.

Thus, the export expectations index increased 4.5 points in this period compared to the previous quarter. The index, which was at 109.5 in the third quarter of the year, rose to 114 in the last quarter.

The import expectations index rose 16 points to 121.3.

AFFECTED UNIT PRICES AND ORDER LEVEL

The import expectations index for the fourth quarter of this year increased 16 points compared to the previous quarter and reached 121.3. The index increased 7.6 points compared to the same period last year.

The import expectation index was affected by the assessments on the import expectation for the next 3 months, the import unit price expectation and the question on the level of import orders in the last 3 months, and the assessments on the level of import orders currently recorded decreased. .
