Russia partially lifts ban on diesel exports
The Russian government has partially lifted the ban on diesel exports through pipelines passing through ports.
The Russian government’s written statement states that some changes have been made to the current fuel export ban in the country.
50 PERCENT CONDITION
The statement stated that subsidies or depreciation payments for oil refineries had restarted, and noted that the producer could also export diesel through pipelines through ports, as long as 50 percent of the diesel produced will be supplied to the domestic market.
The Russian government banned the export of fuel products on September 21 due to rising gasoline and diesel prices in the country.
Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak said in a statement on October 3 that the ban would continue until stability in the domestic market was achieved. (AA)
