EMRA postponed advance payments in the earthquake zone
The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) made a new decision due to the continuing effects of the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6.
Advance payments are postponed for legal entities holding distribution licenses that operate in cities declared as disaster zones, assigned supply companies and supply companies of which Organized Industrial Zones (OIZ) are direct or indirect partners.
The entity also decided not to apply late payment interest to the operator and market participant.

The decision of the EMRA board of directors on the issue was published in the Official Gazette.
Consequently, until December 31, article 132 of the Electricity Market Balancing and Conciliation Regulation is valid for legal entities holding distribution licenses, assigned supply companies and supply companies of which the OIZ are direct partners or indirect, operating in cities where a state of emergency has been declared. been declared or declared a disaster area. It has been decided that the amounts included in the prepayment notifications specified in the first paragraph of article /C will be postponed until the due date of the invoice for the corresponding billing period, and that no late payment interest will be charged. will apply to the market operator or market participant during the period during which advance payments are postponed.
