Inflation of service producers was 79.95 percent in August
The Turkish Statistical Institute announced the data of the Services Producer Price Index (H-PPI) for August 2023. Consequently, the H-PPI increased by 79.95 percent annually and 5.25 percent monthly .
The H-PPI increased by 5.25 percent in August 2023 compared to the previous month, 69.13 percent compared to December of the previous year, 79.95 percent compared to the same month of the year previous and 80.27 percent compared to the twelve-month averages.
INCREASES IN SUBINDEXES
Compared to the same month of the previous year, 62.80 percent in transportation and storage services, 102.12 percent in accommodation and food services, 83.41 percent in information and communications services, 66.83 percent in real estate services, 99 percent in professional, scientific and technical services. , There was an increase of 59 percent and 104.93 percent in administrative and support services.
Compared to the previous month, 6.35 percent in transportation and storage services, 6.22 percent in accommodation and food services, 2.23 percent in information and communication services, 3.62 percent in services real estate, 1.93 percent in professional, scientific and technical services. 5.85 percent increase in administrative and support services.
PRICE INCREASES BY SECTORS
Among the H-PPI sectors, water transportation services, air transportation services, 37.83 percent, storage and support services (for transportation) 55.95 percent were the subsectors where the indices increased the least.
For its part, construction and landscaping services 140.15 percent, advertising and market research services 115.17 percent, architecture and engineering services; Technical analysis and testing services were the subsectors where the indices increased the most, with 106.73 percent.
The only subsector that showed a monthly decrease was scientific research and development services with 3.03 percent. On the other hand, postal and courier services with 11.92 percent, air transportation services with 11.52 percent and rental and leasing services with 9.05 percent were the subsectors where the indices they increased more.
