Dates have been announced for diesel and fertilizer support provided to farmers to reduce production costs and increase the quantity and quality of production. To benefit from support for diesel fuel and fertilizers, farmers must be registered in the Farmer Registration System (ÇKS). Farmers registered with ÇKS can apply through the e-government portal.

WHEN WILL SUPPORT FOR FUEL AND FERTILIZER BE PAID?

In his statement, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı said: “The support for diesel and fertilizers, which amounts to 11.5 billion Turkish lira for the production year of 2023 and which will be paid in 2024 to “Our cereal producers, has been advanced and will be used in the purchase of diesel and fertilizers, starting in October 2023, with financing from Ziraat Bank and will be charged to their bank cards,” he said.

THE BUDGET TO SUPPORT AGRICULTURE IS INCREASING

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated that they will increase the agricultural support budget from 63.4 billion lira to 91.55 billion lira by 2024.

“We are increasing our agriculture support budget from 63.4 billion TL to 91.55 billion TL by 2024. In this context, support for agricultural production will increase to 51.01 billion TL, support for animal production will be increased to 18.71 billion TL, support for aquaculture will be increased to 250.7 million TL, support for agricultural research and development will be increased to 682 million TL, and Support for rural development will increase to 18.71 billion Turkish lira and we are going to increase it to 8.15 billion Turkish lira. We allocated a resource of 12.75 billion Turkish lira to agricultural insurance. “In addition, we will increase the support budget for diesel and fertilizers to 21.1 billion Turkish lira, an increase of 31.6 percent compared to the previous year.”
