The Treasury borrowed 36.5 billion lira

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance borrowed a total of 36 thousand 478.1 million lira in two bond auctions held today.

In the first tender, variable interest government bonds were reissued with a maturity of 7 years (2450 days) and coupon payments every 6 months. The periodic interest of the tender was 8.90 percent.

In the tender where the nominal bid was 3,841 million liras, the nominal sales were 1,775 million liras and the net sales were 1,551.1 million liras.

In the tender, in which all public offers worth 7 billion lira were accepted, offers from market makers of 3.896 billion lira were received and 2 billion lira were sold to this sector.

In the second auction, fixed coupon government bonds with a maturity of 10 years (3,584 days) and a coupon payment of 8.90 percent every 6 months were reissued. In the tender, the simple interest was 26.38 percent and the compound interest was 28.12 percent.

In the tender where the nominal bid was 27 billion 249.8 million lira, the nominal sales were 12 billion 924.6 million lira and the net sales were 9 billion 427 million lira.

In the tender, in which the entire public offer of 1.5 billion lira was fulfilled, an offer of 23.659 million lira was received from market makers and 15 billion lira was sold to this sector.

Thus, the Treasury borrowed a total of 36,478.1 million lire in two tenders. (AA)
