In the statement made by Halkbank regarding the second civil lawsuit filed against the Bank in the US, it is stated that, “On July 26, 2023, a different group of 151 plaintiffs filed a lawsuit against our Bank on October 15, 2023. 2019, before the US Court of the Southern District of New York, with some grievances they experienced in several countries: “A new civil lawsuit has been filed attempting to establish a connection between the so-called accusations in the existing criminal case.”

Halkbank’s statement on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) included information about the second civil lawsuit filed against the bank in the United States. The statement stated the following:
“In the civil lawsuit filed against our Bank by a group of 876 whistleblowers on March 27, 2020, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleging that they were unable to collect their accounts receivable due to the violation of US sanctions decisions against several countries, first before the District Court on February 16, 2021, then on May 2, 2023, the Second Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals ruled in favor of our Bank and the plaintiffs’ compensation claims were rejected.
Similarly, on July 26, 2023, a different group of 151 whistleblowers filed a new civil lawsuit in the Southern District Court of New York, attempting to establish a connection between some of the grievances they experienced in various countries and the so-called accusations. in the existing criminal case filed against our Bank on October 15, 2019. has been opened. “Although no official notification has yet been made to our bank regarding this compensation case, necessary legal measures will be taken after the notification is made.” (AA)
