Minister of Labor: Elderly care insurance should be included on the agenda

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan made statements regarding elderly care insurance, which is among President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s five-year election promises.

Stating that senior care insurance is on the agenda, Işıkhan included the following statements in his statement:

“We worked for months on elderly care insurance. Elderly care insurance is on the agenda within our President’s five-year election promises. We produced it and it was granted to our ministry. “Hopefully, it will be a very important service for all of our citizens.”

Noting that Turkey’s population is aging, Işıkhan said: “Since it is aging, this insurance against some risks is very important. “Hopefully, we’ll implement it within five years,” she said. (AA)
