Bulgaria lifts ban on imports of Ukrainian grains

The National Assembly of Bulgaria approved the bill to lift the ban on imports of Ukrainian grains from September 15.

According to the BTA agency, Parliament accepted the bill presented by Citizens for European Development (GERB), the right-wing coalition Continuous Change-Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB) and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (HÖH), a The majority of which is made up of Turks and Muslims.

The bill received a “yes” vote from 124 deputies and a “no” vote from 69 deputies. Eight deputies abstained from the vote.

The bill, which confirms Bulgaria’s solidarity with Ukraine, provides that the ban on Ukrainian wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds will be lifted on September 15.

On the other hand, the project highlights that this decision will not harm the competitiveness of Bulgarian agricultural products. (AA)
