Invoices take first place in complaints to BTK

Last year, the Information and Communications Technology Authority (BTK) of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure received 13.3 thousand complaints related to the postal sector and 52,919 complaints related to the mobile communications sector.

According to the compilation of the reports “Turkish postal sector market data” and “Turkey electronic communications sector market data” by BTK, the majority of complaints in the postal sector concerned staff, and in the mobile sector , most complaints were about billing.

STAFF COMPLAINTS AND LATE DELIVERIES GO AHEAD

Last year, the number of complaints regarding the postal sector submitted to BTK through CIMER and individual petitions was 13.3 thousand. When examining the distribution of the complaints in question, among the requests received by the Institution, complaints from branches/agencies/staff occupied the first place with 6 thousand 150, while complaints about delays in delivery occupied the second place with 2 thousand 229.

In the postal sector, 46.4 percent of complaints received by BTK last year concerned branches/agencies/staff, 16.8 percent about delivery delays, 13.4 percent about losses and thefts, 4.8 percent to damaged deliveries, 3.4 percent to deliveries to the wrong address or person, 2.1 percent were in the incorrect or incomplete information category, 1.9 percent were In the price category, 0.6 percent were in the data privacy category and 10.6 percent were in the other category.

CITIZENS COMPLAIN ABOUT THEIR BILLS ON THE MOBILE

In the mobile communications sector, 51.4 percent of complaints received through the BTK Online Consumer Complaint System in the first quarter of last year were related to the services of Internet Service Providers ( ISP).

During this period, on average, per million subscribers, 1,531 consumers complained about ISP services, 994 about satellite platform services, 213 about cable television services, 212 about landline telephone services, and 210 about mobile services.

In the mobile sector the most complaints were about billing, in the ISP service the most complaints were about connection/service quality, in the Satellite Platform Service the most complaints were about subscription transactions and in the Fixed Telephony Service the most complaints They were about billing. The complaints concerned subscription transactions. (AA)
