Urgent energy expropriation decisions

It has been decided to expropriate some properties for energy projects to be carried out in Istanbul and Gaziantep.

Presidential decisions on the subject were published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, 273 areas of the Şehitkamil and Nizip districts of Gaziantep, whose island and parcel numbers are specified in the list attached to the decision, include the water pumping/transmission lines, power generation and transmission lines, and structures designed to meet Gaziantep’s drinking water needs. Organized Industrial Zone, which will be immediately expropriated by the Gaziantep Investment Coordination and Monitoring Presidency for the construction of hydraulic structures.

In addition, EMRA has decided to expropriate the real estate required for the Gelgit WPP power generation facility to be established in the Çatalca and Silivri districts of Istanbul and to be registered in the name of the Treasury in the land registry. (AA)
