The increase in fuel prices after the May 14 elections also affected the intercity transport and transportation sector. While many companies in Diyarbakir limited themselves to urban transportation and refused their demands for out-of-state transportation, prices in the market suddenly increased from 10,000-15,000 lira to 50,000-70,000 lira. Thousands of public officials, including appointed judges, prosecutors, military and police officers, became victims of this.

Although the transport companies only satisfy the demands of urban transport, they either reject their extra-provincial demands or demand high rates. This fluctuation peaked especially in July. This fluctuation suffered the main summer decree of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors of 4 thousand people, Security and Gendarmerie personnel, and personnel working in public institutions and bodies, who were appointed in different regions with the decree of public officials . in transport prices.

CANNOT INTERVENE

Last year, the salaries of shipping companies that refused demands from outside the province or demanded exorbitant prices ranged from Diyarbakır to 10,000-13,000 beers for different regions of Turkey. This year a fee of 50,000 to 70,000 lira is charged from Diyarbakır to different provinces and districts in the Central Anatolia, Mediterranean, Aegean and Marmara regions, for distances ranging from 800 to 1,200 kilometers. Not intervening in the transport market, which has a negative outlook, confronts demanding citizens and business owners. Those most affected by this were the public officials who were appointed.

Prices skyrocketed after the earthquake

At the beginning of the year, house-to-house transport and shipping costs in Diyarbakir ranged from 2,000 to 5,000 lira in the city. After the earthquakes on February 6, city transportation and transportation fares suddenly increased to 10-15 thousand lira. Warnings from the governorate and administrative inspections and fines from the police yielded no results.
