Negotiations, which began when the Public Employers’ Committee, representing the government, submitted the first raise offer on August 14, intensified with the second offer on August 17.

The unions, which did not find the latest offer from the Committee of Public Employers 15 percent in the first semester of 2024, 10 percent in the second semester, 6 percent in the first semester of 2025 and 5 percent in the second semester of 2024, began to wait for a new offer.

IF THERE IS NO AGREEMENT, THE ARBITRATION BOARD WILL ACT

In the negotiation of the collective agreement, whose negotiation process will end on August 22, according to the determined schedule, the focus was on the new proposals that the Committee of Public Employers will make.

If a consensus cannot be reached between the parties by this date, the Public Officials Arbitration Board process will begin in negotiations.

The 11-member board, made up of members of the senior judiciary, bureaucrats, unionists and academics, will make its final decision on the collective agreement before August 31.

OFFICER-SEN REQUEST

Memur-Sen, which is the authorized confederation at the collective bargaining table, requested an increase of 35% in the first 3 months, 10% in the second 3 months, 15% in the third 3 months, and 10% in the fourth 3 months. months, in quarterly periods, including social participation, for the year 2024.

By 2025, the Confederation required a 25 percent increase in the first 6 months and a 15 percent increase in the second 6 months, including social participation, in 6-month periods. (AA)
