11 thousand 919 companies closed in the first 7 months of the year
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey announced the statistics of established and closed companies for the month of July.
Thus, in July 2,067 more companies were closed and in the first 7 months of the year a total of 11,919 companies were closed. The number of companies incorporated in the first 7 months of 2023 decreased by 1.8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In the first 7 months of 2023, the number of closed businesses increased 0.1 percent over last year.
ESTABLISHED BUSINESSES
The number of incorporated companies increased by 11.7 percent in July compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, the number of established cooperatives increased by 133.1 percent. The number of established real-person business enterprises decreased by 19.7 percent.
Compared with the previous month, the number of incorporated companies decreased by 1.1 percent. The number of established cooperatives increased by 24.2%, the number of established individual business enterprises increased by 1.6%.
COMPANIES CLOSED
The number of closed companies increased 30.3 percent in July compared to the same month of the previous year. In this period, there was an increase of 17.1 percent in the number of closed cooperatives and 86.5 percent in the number of business enterprises of natural persons that closed.
In July, the number of businesses closed increased by 10.7 percent, the number of cooperatives closed by 25.4 percent, and the number of individual business enterprises that closed increased by 4.8 percent.
