The Treasury borrowed 61.9 billion lira today

The Treasury and Finance Ministry went to borrow 61.847 billion lira in two government bond auctions held today.

In the first tender, the Ministry reissued government bonds indexed to the CPI, with a maturity of 5 years (1799 days), coupon payment every 6 months. At the auction, the simple real interest was minus 11.23 percent and the compound real interest was minus 10.91 percent.

In the tender, where the nominal offer reached 61,890 million liras, nominal sales were 14,61 million liras and net sales were 25,366.5 million liras.

In the tender, where no offers from the public were received, 74 thousand 882 million liras were received from market makers, and sales were made to this segment for 20 billion liras.

In the second auction, government bonds with a maturity of 10 years (3619 days) and a fixed coupon payment every 6 months were reissued. In the tender, the simple interest was 21.07 percent, the compound interest was 22.18 percent.

In the tender, where the nominal offer amounted to 13,494 million liras, nominal sales were 9,113 million liras and net sales were 7,980.5 million liras.

In the bidding, in which all TL 1 billion bids from the public were met, 12 billion TL of 133 million TL bids were received from market makers and TL 7 billion were sold to this segment.

Thus, the Treasury borrowed a total of 61 thousand 847 million liras in two auctions. (AA)
