‘PRICES OF RAW MATERIALS RISE’

Stating that simit has been offered for sale for a while in metropolitan cities such as Istanbul, Ankara and Bursa for 10 lira, Erişen said: “100 grams of İzmir cereal will be sold for 10 lira, starting August 11 also in Izmir. . We are of the opinion that both our merchants can earn and citizens can consume cereals at will, but we find new figures every time we buy goods.

Erişen said: “Unfortunately, the increases in the prices of raw materials do not stop. The costs are constantly increasing. Unfortunately, an increase is inevitable in the face of personnel costs, workplace rents and energy costs. Although we are not in favor of hikes, we have to protect our traders against the ever-increasing and uninterrupted costs of production.” (DHA)
