With the effect of the increase in exchange rates, taxes and international prices of products, it rains the rise in fuel oil.

Last night the price of gasoline increased by 2 lira per liter. Thus, in the two months after the May 14 elections, the total rate of increase reached 82 percent.

Last night there was no price change in diesel, which was increased on July 21.

Gasoline for cars will increase 25 cents tonight.

WHAT ARE THE NEW PRICES?

With the increase, the price of a liter of gasoline rose to approximately TL 36.05 in Istanbul, TL 36.53 in Ankara and TL 36.64 in Izmir.

The price per liter of diesel is approximately TL 33.87 in Istanbul, TL 34.35 in Ankara and TL 34.53 in Izmir.

Prices vary between provinces, counties and dealers.

HIGH RAIN AFTER THE ELECTIONS

The government, which cut taxes before the election and clamped down on exchange rates by depleting reserves, made record tax increases after the election and freed up the dollar rate.

The price of a liter of diesel, which was TL 18.58 in Istanbul on May 14, the first round of the elections, rose to TL 33.87 with the exchange rate and tax increases.

The rate of increase for diesel fuel in the two months after the election reached 82 percent.
