They gave a date: They will stop the free rides

Private Public Buses will leave free boarding from October 15

Ercan Soydaş, Chairman of the Association of Private Public Buses (TÖHOB), spoke at the Burdur City Public Bus Cooperative Public Transport Meeting held at a hotel in Burdur.

Soydaş told reporters that public buses provide free service to certain segments in Turkey.

Noting that they do not intend to oppose the law, Soydaş said, “Since their establishment, private public buses have already transported relatives of martyrs, veterans, members of the police and press for free. What we regret is that we are always remembered with this free transportation.”

DECISION OF OCTOBER 15

Soydaş said: “When we make a statement about this, we get a serious reaction from the public. Why did we decide on October 15? This type of request requires legislation. I believe that the relevant ministries, especially our president, will listen to this voice.”

Burdur city public bus cooperative board member Ahmet Ali Bilgiç also stated that the Association of Private Public Buses (TÖHOB) held a meeting on July 19 in Ankara with the participation of 28,100 private public bus representatives.

Bilgiç recalled that at that meeting they decided to withdraw free boarding passes in all provinces on October 15, unless there is an arrangement that satisfies the parties regarding free boarding. (AA)
