Soydan, who is also a member of the Board of the Turkish Union of Chambers of Agriculture, said in a statement at the Altınordu Chamber of Agriculture that they met on the wages of hazelnut workers, the most important source of livelihood for Turkey. the region. .

Noting that the decision they made was a recommendation, Soydan noted that the practice could be determined again based on some figures that were developed between the employee and the employer.

Recalling that it is prohibited to employ children under 16 years of age, Soydan emphasized that the Government has also made a decision on this issue and that there is a fine for employing children under 16 years of age.

THE BASE PRICE IS DETERMINED AS 448 TL

Stating that the worker’s daily wage was determined at 448 lira to belong to the food worker, Soydan said: “In other words, today’s lowest daily wage is determined to be 448 lira if the food belongs to the worker. It has been decided to pay 3.20 lira per kilo to workers who collect hazelnuts by weight.The wages of agricultural intermediaries are determined at 492 TL per day for a maximum of 15 workers and 505 TL per day for more than 15 workers, he said.

Mentioning the salaries of bag makers and cooks, Soydan concluded his words as follows:

“For 10-15 workers, the salary is 448 lira for cooks, 492 lira for baggers, 492 lira for cooks for workers aged 15 and over, 505 lira for baggers and 519 lira for baggers in gardens collected per kilo.
