The museum card fee has been announced.
The Museum Card fee, which offers unlimited visits to more than 350 museums and ruins affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, is 60 TL this year.
According to the statement from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Müzekart offers unlimited visits to more than 350 museums and ruins affiliated with the ministry.
The card fee, which was 60 lira last year, was set at 60 lira this year on the instruction of the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. As of August 1, visits to these places will only be possible with the Müzekart.
Likewise, with effect from this date, the ticket sales prices will also be updated for foreign citizens who do not have a Republic of Turkey identity document.
FREE ENTRY TO MUSEUMS AND SITE
In addition to the Müzekart, which can be obtained digitally via the Turkish Museums Mobile app, free admission to museums and historical sites is also granted.
In this context, Turkish citizens under the age of 18 and teachers accompanying students in this age group, citizens over the age of 65, veterans and martyrs and their spouses and children, the disabled and a companion, soldiers and non-commissioned officers and ICOM, ICOMOS and UNESCO card holders can benefit from museums and ruins for free.
In addition, holders of press IDs, owners of travel agencies or their managers, professional scented tour guides from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, staff and retirees from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and their spouses and accompanying children, foreign children from 0 to 12 years old, and under the Lifelong Learning Program. With Comenius School Partnerships, student groups within the scope of the Erasmus Student Exchange Program have free access to museums and archaeological sites (provided their counterparts in Turkey submit their contracts).
