The impact analysis of the 17-article regulation, which was sent to Turkey’s Grand National Assembly on Wednesday and started discussion in the Planning and Budget Committee, has been published.

Consequently, it is estimated that a net increase of TL 8,777 in the wages and salaries of approximately 3.7 million civil servants will cost the central government budget TL 177 billion in 2023.

Taking into account the exemptions and revenue realizations for the earthquake region, the amendment made to the motor vehicle tax will have an additional revenue impact of approximately TL 30 billion on the budget.

THE TREASURY DEBT LIMIT WILL BE INCREASED TO 2.18 TRILLION TL

Under the Central Government Budget Law, the debt limit of the Treasury, which was TL 660.9 billion before the regulation, is increased to TL 2.18 trillion with this regulation.

In the second half of 2023, the cost of giving 500 TL in support of the minimum wage budget will be 19 billion TL.

Taking into account the 5-point discount on export earnings, the effect of the corporate tax increase this year is expected to be TL 80 billion, with an annual impact of TL 120 billion.

The transfer of KKM from the Treasury to the CBRT will not cost the central government budget.

On the other hand, it will be ensured that the payment of approximately TL 100 billion, which is planned for currently opened foreign exchange protected accounts, will not be made from the central government budget. (Reuters)
