What is the inflation difference? Inflation gap June 2023…
Officers and retired officers are paid an inflation difference equal to the difference if the raise they receive in the collective bargaining agreement is less than the 6-month inflation rate. In June, the inflation gap continued to widen.
HOW MUCH IS THE DIFFERENCE FROM INFLATION?
Consumer inflation in June was 38.21 per year. The 6-month inflation rate was 19.77 percent. Thus, the inflation difference for 6 months was 19.77 percent.
With this rate, the increase in the salaries of civil servants without social participation was 17.55 percent, and the increase in pensions without social participation was 19.77 percent.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH THE OFFICER’S SALARY INCREASE?
In addition to the inflation difference, officials are waiting for the salary increase that the government should make. Consequently, with the regulation that will soon reach the Parliament, the lowest salary of civil servants will be increased to 22 thousand TL. For other public servants, there will be a gradual increase according to criteria such as title and grade.
The lowest salary for civil servants was 12,632 lira in the first half of the year. Adjusted for inflation, this number was expected to be 13,927.
However, with the new regulation, this figure will increase to 22 thousand TL.
HOW MUCH WILL THE RETIREMENT SALARY BE?
Except for the inflation figures and social participation, the rate of increase of SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees has also been determined. Salary increases for retirees from SSK and Bağ-Kur in July will be made at the 6-month CPI rate of the CPI of January and June 2023.
The lowest root pension of SSK members before 2000 was TL 6,000 93. When these pensions increase by 19.73 percent, the monthly root will increase to 7,295 TL, and after July they will continue to receive 7,500 TL per month.
In January, the lowest salary of retirees, who received a 30 percent increase in social participation, increased to 7,500 TL. Along with social participation, the increase in the pension will be determined by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
