Expatriate doping to hotels in Edirne

Expatriates, who came to the country to spend their annual vacation in Turkey, packed Edirne’s hotels where they took a break.

Expats who prefer to travel by road enter the country through the Kapıkule border gate and other gates.

Edirne Tourism Hotel Managers Association representative Can Pekbaş told Anadolu Agency (AA) that there is an expatriate activity in the city.

Stating that the expatriates took a break in Edirne after entering Turkey, Pekbaş emphasized that the occupancy rate of the city’s hotels increased.

Expressing that the expatriates left Edirne satisfied, Pekbaş said:

“Especially in July and August, Edirne is the first resting point for our expatriate guests who arrive in the country by land. This mobility contributes to hotels and other businesses in the city. So to speak, the Edirne trade is reviving.

INCREASE IN DEMAND FOR HOTELS IN KIRKPINAR

Depending on expat leave periods and school holidays, Edirne will experience even more expat density.

The merchants’ focus has recently increased interest from expats, which has waned in recent years, thanks to new quality accommodation facilities.

Mehmet Çelik, who came from the Netherlands, said they took a break in Edirne before leaving for his father’s house.

Stating that he preferred to travel by land for the first time, Çelik said: “We really liked Edirne. Our first impressions are very good. We rested and toured the city.” saying.
