How much of the money in the banks are millionaires?

Data from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) revealed the transfer of capital from the poor to the rich caused by the presidential system.

While the number of “national resident depositors” (national million) with deposits “over 1 million lira” in banks was 149,000 in July 2018, it increased to 983,000 as of April 2023. As of April 2023, the wealth of millionaires reached 7 trillion 278 billion lira, while their share of total deposits rose to 70.3 percent. These people constitute 0.6 percent of all depositors.

According to the data, the total number of depositors in Turkey was 172 million 593 thousand, while the total amount in the accounts amounted to 10 trillion 349 billion lira.
