Turkey’s oil imports decreased 10.9 percent in April

According to the “Oil Market Sector Report” of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority for April, the import of crude oil, which constitutes the most important element of Turkey’s total oil imports, decreased by 33.7 percent. cent and amounted to 1 million 998 thousand 739 tons.

In this period, the import of diesel types increased by 61 percent to 1 million 57 thousand 792 tons.

Aviation and marine fuels, gasoline and types of fuel oil, and other products made up the remainder of imports.

Thus, total imports decreased 10.9 percent in April compared to the same month of the previous year and stood at 3,537,478 tons.

The largest import of crude oil and petroleum derivatives was made from Russia with 1 million 869 thousand tons, followed by Iraq with 741 thousand 365 tons and Kazakhstan with 226 thousand 365 tons.

For its part, sales of gasoline increased 12.9 percent in April compared to the same month of the previous year and stood at 306,540 tons, while sales of diesel decreased 6.8 percent to 1,877,727 tons. tons.
Total sales of petroleum derivatives decreased 3.8 percent and were registered at 2,321,121 tons.

EXPORTS INCREASE 21.5 PERCENT

While Turkey’s aviation fuel exports decreased by 85.9 percent in April to 10,290 tons, the export of marine fuels increased by 4.4 percent to 321,836 tons in the said period.

Exports of types of gasoline decreased 97.5 percent to 5,787 tons. Exports of diesel types increased 75.3 percent and reached 370 thousand 932 tons.

In the oil market, total exports with other products increased 21.5 percent and amounted to 1,11,683 tons.

Diesel production decreased 9.8 percent in April compared to the same month of the previous year and decreased to 1 million 335 thousand 415 tons, gasoline production decreased 21 percent to 345 thousand 318 tons, while aviation production fuels increased 11.6 percent to 383 thousand 607 tons.

Marine fuel production decreased by 68.7 percent and was estimated at 59 thousand 89 tons.

Total production of refinery petroleum products with other types of fuel decreased by approximately 16.6 percent and reached 2 million 691 thousand 606 tons. (AA)
