How is this a record? Sharing that makes you laugh at the power…

Those who left for the Eid al-Adha holiday, which was extended to 9 days with administrative permission, created a density throughout Turkey. Especially coming out of Istanbul, there was traffic in all directions. In the direction of the Anatolian highway, the Osmangazi bridge and Thrace, the density of vehicles occurred every hour of the day.

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure shared the number of vehicles that passed through the bridges and roads that were put into service during the AKP rule, on June 24, when the holiday began.

Consequently, it was announced to the public that 22,267 vehicles passed through the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which was built on the build-operate-transfer model and was put into service on March 18, 2022.

Even at the busiest time in Turkey, the number of vehicles passing over the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge was only half the passage guarantee given to contractors.

45,000 DAILY VEHICLE WARRANTY

The ‘Joint Venture Daelim-Limak-SK-Yapı Merkezi’, made up of companies from Turkey and South Korea, which won the bridge with an offer of operating time of 16 years, 2 months and 12 days, came to life.

For the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, 45 thousand vehicles per day and 16 million 425 thousand vehicles per year were guaranteed. In the given guarantee, the rate per vehicle was 15 Euros + VAT. The Treasury pays 17.7 euros for each vehicle that does not pass over the Çanakkale Bridge from 1915.

THE MINISTER ANNOUNCED THAT WE BREAK A RECORD

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdülkadir Uraloğlu made a statement on his Twitter account yesterday: “On June 24, we broke a record with 22,267 vehicles crossing the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge. We are making investments that unite the continents! Those who think that there is no new record behind the bridge that extends from the past to the future; I’m calling you, don’t do this… “We’re getting giants in transportation!” We are serious! Other records are coming…”, he said.

ERDOĞAN: WE PAY FROM GOVERNMENT CASH

1915 Çanakkale Bridge was inaugurated on March 18, 2022, on the 107th anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on the bridge opening fee, said: “We have set the price of car passes at 200 lira. It is expensive? 200 lire, ”he said. In the continuation of his speech, Erdoğan said: “You know, if the build, operate and transfer and the contracting company pay the monthly or yearly price here, who will pay the difference? We will pay it from the state coffers, ”he said.

MONEY PAID FOR ONE YEAR

Last March, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure at the time, Adil Karaismailoğlu, announced that 2 million 200 thousand vehicles passed through the Çanakkale Bridge from 1915 in one year. Consequently, a total of 251 million 782 thousand 500 euros left the State coffers for 14 million 225 thousand vehicles that did not transit.

ERDOĞAN SAID “THE NUMBERS”

While provoking intense and long-term criticism of the opposition between the vehicle guarantee given and the passerby, President Erdoğan said in July: “I do not compare the bridge in Çanakkale, which is among the top three in the history of the world, with any stuff. The numbers are incredible. Nobody thought that such numbers would be possible, ”he said.
