TURKSTAT: Confidence in the economy decreased in June
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the economic confidence index data for June.
While the economic confidence index, which is a composite index that summarizes the assessments, expectations and trends of consumers and producers regarding the general economic situation, stood at 103.7 in May, it decreased 2.5 percent to 101, 1 in June.
Compared with the previous month, the consumer confidence index decreased 6.5 percent to 85.1 in June, the real sector (manufacturing) confidence index increased 0.6 percent to 105.7, service sector confidence index increased 0.6 percent to 118 Retail trade confidence index increased 0.9 percent to 117.7, construction confidence index declined 3.5 percent at 88.9.
