Hisarcıklıoğlu shared on his Twitter account that CBRT’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) increased the policy rate by 650 basis points to 15 percent.

Noting that the CBRT revised its monetary policy according to the conditions of the day and raised the policy rate in a measured manner, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:

*It is essential for a sustainable investment and production environment that the interest rate decision announced today is supported by integrated monetary and fiscal policies focused on price stability, which also take into account the needs of the real sector.

*In addition, supporting the investment environment with structural policies, diversifying opportunities for access to financing and increasing predictability are our basic expectations for economic management in the new period.
