Eurozone industrial production increased in April

The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) announced seasonally adjusted industrial production data for the European Union (EU) and the Eurozone for the month of April.

Consequently, industrial production in the Euro Zone increased by 1 percent in April compared to March and 0.2 percent compared to April 2022.

In the EU, industrial production increased 0.7 percent in April compared to the previous month and 0.1 percent compared to the same period a year earlier.

HIGHEST INCREASE IN IRELAND

In April, the highest monthly increase in industrial production among EU countries was recorded in Ireland at 21.5 percent, Lithuania at 2.8 percent and Sweden at 1.4 percent. The largest decreases were observed in Slovenia with 7.9%, Portugal with 5.5% and the Netherlands with 3.5%.

On an annual basis, industrial production increased the most in Ireland with 22.5 percent, in Malta with 14.3 percent, in Denmark with 12.2 percent, in Estonia with 15.1 percent, it decreased by 12.8 percent in the Netherlands and by 12.5 percent. percent in Bulgaria. (AA)
