Minimum wage statement of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz added a new one to the minimum wage statements he made two days ago.
“We said that we would work at minimum wage and retire working in July. We have started to take our steps,” Yılmaz said, adding: “There will be meetings on the minimum wage. There are 3 cuts here. There are employees, employers and the public sector. Negotiations will take place between the three parties. We hope that these three parties reach an agreement, ”he said.
Stating that the purchasing power of workers is not allowed to melt away in the face of inflation, Yılmaz said: “We will see the same approach. Topics such as our competitiveness and the increase in employment will continue to be on our agenda. We will continue to be evaluated in a balanced way to the satisfaction of all segments, ”he said.
‘PRIORITY ISSUE INFLATION’
Yılmaz also made statements on the economy and continued as follows:
“We will implement each measure that we have written in our electoral program in a planned way in the next processes. We will implement it with some consistency. Our 12th development plan will be on the agenda. We will update our mid-term program in the coming months. The program, which is a 3-year roadmap, will be prepared as a very important document containing monetary policy and fiscal policy.
We will discuss our policies with the Economic Coordination Council meeting on Thursday. I would like to point out that the issue of inflation is a priority”.
FORMER MINISTER SAID ‘It will go up to the $500 level’
For his part, Vedat Bilgin, who was Minister of Labor and Social Security before the new cabinet, said that for the interim increase in the minimum wage in July, “there will be a fee of approximately 500 dollars.”
While talking about the level of 12 thousand lire with the welfare structure that is expected to be added to salaries, the agenda of the workers’ representatives is inflation and the purchasing power of currency prices.
