The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its first meeting tomorrow for the interim increase.
The Commission for the Determination of the Minimum Wage, made up of representatives of workers, employers and the government, will hold its first meeting tomorrow in the framework of the work to determine the rate of interim increase to the minimum wage.
At the meeting, the parties will discuss current economic data.
The process around the new minimum wage figure, which directly affects more than 7 million workers and indirectly affects the whole of society, will begin tomorrow with the first meeting at 2:00 p.m.
The meeting organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security will be attended by the delegation of TÜRK-İŞ, representing the workers’ section, and the Turkish Confederation of Employers’ Unions (TİSK) representing the employers’ section.
Pevrul Kavlak will chair the TÜRK-İŞ delegation and Akansel Koç will chair the TİSK delegation at the meeting.
At the meeting, which is expected to be held behind closed doors, the parties will express their views and discuss current economic data.

The minimum salary of a worker is 10 thousand 8 liras per month, and 8 thousand 506 liras and 80 cents net when taxes and deductions are deducted.
The total cost of the minimum wage for the employer is 11,759 liras and 40 cents per worker. 10 thousand 8 liras of this is the gross minimum wage, 1551 liras 24 cents of social security premium, 200 liras 16 cents of the employer’s unemployment insurance fund. (AA)
