REASONS FOR STOP

Bayraktar reported that the contraction in the supply of lemons and carrots caused prices to rise.

Bayraktar said: “The price increase for strawberries, spinach and lettuce was due to decreased supply of produce due to rainy weather and the inability of our growers to enter their fields for harvest.”

“The increase in the supply of dry onions caused prices to drop. The increase in supply caused a decrease in prices due to the transition to country production of vegetables such as hot pepper, eggplant, tomato, parsley and zucchini. The drop in the price of eggs was due to the change in supply and demand.
