Russian Deputy Prime Minister Novak: Our energy shipments to China increased by 40 percent

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak stated that they continue to increase their power shipments to China, saying, “Our power shipments to China increased by 40 percent in the first quarter of 2023.”

Novak made assessments at the meeting held in Shanghai and attended by officials from Russia and China.

Noting that they are working with Chinese companies on the supply of technological equipment, Novak said, “We are working with our partners to supply the missing technological equipment.”

DUE TO SANCTIONS FROM WESTERN COUNTRIES

Novak affirmed that they continue to develop cooperation with China in the field of energy, saying, “Energy is one of the main areas in which we have developed our cooperation with China. Our power shipments to China increased 40% in the first quarter of 2023.

As Russia accelerates its search for alternative markets for its oil and natural gas due to sanctions from Western countries, it is increasing its shipments to Asia, especially China and India. (AA)
