EYT, Minister Bilgin’s statement of minimum wage and pension
Bilgin, who is a candidate for AKP Ankara deputy, answered questions about the agenda in his live broadcast.
Pointing out that they have always tried to protect workers against inflation, Bilgin continued as follows:
*As you know, the collective bargaining processes that we maintain with a mass of workers of more than 700,000 are a negotiation. It takes place in an atmosphere of contention, not just negotiation. Our unions have reached a certain point, they have revealed the points on which they agree and on which they disagree.
* At that stage, we intervene. We have to intervene in favor of work because the social state has to protect workers against capital and the state.
*We look at the topic with that task, and the topic has almost come to an end, to the point of reconciliation. Tomorrow, with the participation of our President, we will share with the public how this reconciliation came to fruition. Tomorrow we publish the number.
“THE RATE WILL BE BASED ON UP TO 500 DOLLARS”
Minister Bilgin claimed that they took a historic step regarding the minimum wage increase due in July and that they excluded revenue from the tax, saying: “There have been no minimum wage taxes for 1.5 years. In July, we will fix it in such a way that it preserves its real purchasing power. In January we made a deal that took it to the highest level of more than $455 in dollars in the history of the Republic. We will do the same in July. It will be a fee of approximately 500 dollars. Our work is done.” he used his statements.
EYT EXPLANATION
Bilgin, who was asked a question about the pension system renewal claims among those who are Old on Retirement (EYT), said that EYT has been a problem for almost 20 years and they have solved it.
Noting that President Erdoğan asked him to work on this issue, Bilgin said: “At that time, the average age was low. The system was in no condition to handle it. We started preparing before the pandemic. The average age was 50, we couldn’t have done it if he was younger. This is the right time. A little more could have been expected, but we wanted this injustice rectified as soon as possible. 50 is an age where we can balance. The salaries of approximately 1 million people have been tied up, those who cannot be tied up quickly, and they will receive their bonuses. Those who are not connected will receive both their bonus and their accrued salary. No one loses their rights.” he performed the assessment of it.
EXPLANATION OF RETIRED SALARY
Minister Bilgin affirmed that they have applied a gradual increase in pensions and that they will increase salaries above 7,000 lira at a certain rate up to 10,000. (AA)
