Penalty for dealer who sells new vehicle with bribery

Penalty for dealer who sells new vehicle with bribery

A sanction has been imposed to stop the wheel of bribery sales that has been lived for a long time in the sales of new vehicles.

Car dealers who sell new vehicles by taking money from their customers, selling accessories at exorbitant prices, or counting the used vehicle as dirt cheap will be revoked.

The dealer, who insists on the bribery wheel, will not be able to sell second-hand vehicles for a year and will be fined 4 million 459 thousand lire per vehicle.

If the regulation is fully implemented, it is estimated that the bribery wheel will decrease significantly and the prices of new middle-class vehicles will decrease by 100-150 thousand lira.

WILL BE CANCELED FOR 1 YEAR

The Ministry of Commerce finally caught on to the bribery wheel of dealers, who turned the shortage of vehicles into an opportunity and changed the regulation.

According to the new articles published in the Official Gazette; Authorization certificate for sale of used vehicles from dealers who refrain from selling new cars even when they are in stock, demand a price higher than the vehicle’s recommended sale price by the manufacturer or dealer, force the consumer to buy accessories or make an exchange, or setting the barter price significantly below the market price and gaining an unfair advantage. It will be canceled for 1 year.

A penalty of approximately 4.5 million lira will be charged to dealers who do not sell vehicles even though they are in stock.

In addition, the names of these distributors will be announced on the website of the ministry. It has been reported that dealerships have earned the highest income from the sale of second-hand vehicles in the last period.

HERE IS THE BRIBERY METHOD

Some rogue dealers greet their customers who want to buy new vehicles by saying, “We don’t have any vehicles.” Then they say: “However, if you hand over 150-200 thousand lira, we will try to find the vehicle you want within a week.” The citizen, who pays this money, receives the vehicle from him in a week, and does not complain to the state because he owns a vehicle on secondary roads.

If the citizen does not want to pay in advance, this time the expensive accessory method comes into play. The dealer said: “We have the vehicle, but there are 150 thousand lira of additional accessories on the vehicle. If you want, we can give you that vehicle.” If the client accepts, he pays 150 thousand and 200 thousand lira for accessories worth 15-20 thousand lira.

In the third method, buyers are forced to barter their second-hand vehicles. The second vehicle owned by the citizen, who does not want to pay in advance and does not want accessories, is accepted as 100-150 thousand lira below its value by barter. The dealer sells the vehicle at its regular price, but earns an additional 150,000 lira for the traded-in second-hand vehicle.
