Payment to support fishing in the earthquake zone

In the provinces of Adana, Hatay, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa located in the earthquake zone, support payments will be made to vessels with a valid license to fish in the sea and in inland waters.

In accordance with the President’s decision on the matter in today’s edition of the Official Gazette, in order to avoid the loss of income due to the fishing activities that the fishing vessels were unable to carry out due to the earthquake, the fishing vessels operating in the sea ​​in Adana and Hatay can be paid from 5 thousand TL up to the length of the ships for one time. Support payments will be made in amounts ranging from 60 thousand TL.

Pursuant to the same decision, a one-time subsidy for vessels engaged in inland water fishing in Adana, Adıyaman, Elazığ, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa provinces, which were declared disaster areas, in the amount of 3 500 TL for The payment of 6 thousand TL is expected in proportion to the length of the boats.

The financing required for the payments will be covered by the agricultural support budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

With another presidential decision published in the same newspaper, it was stipulated that a single payment of support in amounts ranging from TL 0.2 to TL 250 per kg of piece would be made to registered fish producers through damage assessment in declared locations. as disaster areas. .
