The number of applications for the Half of Us campaign has been announced.

Murat Kurum, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, made remarks about the Half of Us campaign.

The institution said: “As of today, the total number of applications made for 448 thousand independent sections in Istanbul has reached 83 thousand on the basis of buildings. If we calculate that 4 of our citizens live in each independent section, we see that 1 million 800 thousand of our brothers have taken a step towards their new home”.

The institution, which is also a candidate for deputy from the 1st Istanbul region, participated in a series of programs in Şile as part of its electoral activities.

‘1.5 MILLION BUILDINGS AT RISK WILL BE RENOVATED’

Speaking about the urban transformation works carried out in Istanbul, the Institution said: “We have determined 2 reserve areas, 500 thousand of which are on the Anatolian side and 500 thousand on the European side. We will transform the remaining 500,000 residences on site and renovate 1.5 million high-risk buildings and residences in Istanbul.”
