Hakan Atilla: They confiscated my passport, they take me to the police station
Former Halkbank deputy CEO Hakan Atilla, who was tried in the US for playing a role in the Iran sanctions breaking process and was detained for 28 months, returning to Turkey after his execution, announced that his passport was confiscated.
Atilla, who resigned from his position as General Manager of Borsa İstanbul on March 8, 2021, said in his post on his Instagram account: “While you want to go to Cyprus with your family, your passport is requested to be confiscated and you He is taken to the police station to be notified of the ban on exit”.
Atilla said the reason was not clear.
In another post, Atilla said: “We have served our country for years, we have appreciated and defended it, we do not stop at the treatment we receive in return. Keser returns, the handle returns, one day the account returns”.
